Installation Notes
This installation was completed in November of 2021. I removed the six Canadian Solar solar panels from my RV when I upgraded the solar array. I offered these panels for sale on an RV forum and this customer contacted me about them. We came to an agreement on price and I put together an estimate for the other parts needed to install the panels. The customer had a toy hauler and was in the process of upgrading the systems in the trailer to allow for more boondocking capabilities. The customer planned to make the upgrades in stages and on a budget. The customer started with batteries, but had not progressed passed that. We agreed on an installation date and I installed the panels, solar controller, circuit protection and wiring. The customer will continue the rest of the work himself. The installation went smoothly. There was plenty of room on the roof of the toy hauler to mount the panels in the orientation the customer wanted. The toy hauler had a large hidden wire chase that made running the wires from the roof to the garage area (where the customer planned to mount the AGM battery bank) simple. The charge controller and circuit protection were mounted on the front wall of the garage, above the battery location.
